Spirit Square

Tosco Music is preparing to relaunch in-person gatherings, beginning with FabFest-Charlotte's Beatles Festival this summer!

Due to schedule changes related to the pandemic, FabFest dates and venue have moved from June 25-27 to July 9-10, 2021. Buy tickets here.

FabFest Daytime Live Music & Activities will only take place 10am-5pm on Saturday, July 10 at Spirit Square. This year, FabFest includes even more ways for the community to get involved:

Beatles Cover Song Contest
Beatles Open Mic on The Square
Beatles Art Contest

Spirit Square is located at 345 North College Street, Charlotte, North Carolina 28202 with $5 validated-ticket parking available at the 7th Street Station Parking Garage with entrances on 6th or 7th Streets between N. College and N. Brevard Streets. See more details about Directions and Parking here.

The Fab Four will perform Friday evening, July 9, and Tosco Music Beatles Tribute will be Saturday evening, July 10. Both evening events will take place at Belk Theater.

Belk Theater is located at 130 North Tryon Street, Charlotte, North Carolina 28202 with $5 validated-ticket parking available at the Bank of America Center Parking Garage entrances at 150 N. College St. and 290 E. 5th St. See more details about Directions and Parking here.

Each Tosco Music Party is unique. Tosco Music Parties showcase an eclectic mix of music styles and engage the audience with singalongs throughout the evening. Three times each year (winter, spring, and autumn), Tosco Music Parties feature performances of one or two songs by a variety of approximately 15 scheduled acts (professional and amateur).

Every summer, Tosco Music hosts a Beatles Tribute in the same format – only all Beatles songs for every performance and singalong! In 2019, Beatles Tribute was expanded into a full weekend of events drawing fans of the Fab Four from across the region to Charlotte!

  • The music parties are an indie-music institution in Charlotte, so popular they often fill a 1,200-seat hall, with a roster of performers that has included everyone from American Idol contestants to The Avett Brothers.

  • What started 20 years ago as a jam session in John Tosco’s living room has bloomed into one of the region’s most unique regional events – and a coveted gig for unsigned artists.

  • A Tosco Music Party is a theatre in the round of sorts for acoustic musicians. It's a medium that breaks down artificial barriers between entertainers and audience.

  • Maybe you’ve never heard the new folk trio out of Chapel Hill or the dulcimer player from Appalachia. Maybe you’ll marvel over a double-necked guitar solo or a 13-year-old classical pianist. Whatever you’re seeking, this incredible, quarterly variety show will make you grateful to have John Tosco curating your musical adventure.

  • Think of Tosco Music Party as the musical equivalent of walking into Ben & Jerry's and saying: 'I'd like a spoonful of everything, please.'
