Tosco Music Tuesdays Lunchtime Concerts are live-streamed FREE on Facebook and YouTube each week at noon. The series runs for 5 weeks, from April 6 to May 4, 2021. Each week showcases a different music genre - come with us on a 5-week tour of music cultures in Charlotte!

Tosco Music Tuesdays is sponsored by Arts & Science Council Culture Blocks - a community partnership funded by Mecklenburg County Government. Partners include Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation.

Springer Cagle Duo on April 6
: Robyn Springer and Greg Cagle are a versatile duo who have been singing together for more than a decade. Robyn Springer is a native of New York City and has appeared with legends like George Benson and Herbie Hancock. Greg Cagle is a talented songwriter and an accomplished guitarist. They have two CD”s together, and the most recent one is Everyday Blues.

UltimaNota on April 13
: A 7-piece Latin band that delivers a blend of tropical rhythms with a modern twist. Founded in 2009 in Charlotte, the group’s members hail from Venezuela, Mexico, El Salvador and Dominican Republic. UltimaNota fuses new with old, English with Spanish, and traditional Latin rhythms with pop, funk, and blues. Their latest single “Esperanza” released in 2020 pays tribute to the Afro-Latinx community and Black Lives Matter movement.

Deeper Shade of Blue on April 20
: This 5-piece bluegrass band has been bringing audiences their incredible sound of bluegrass and gospel music for more than 20 years, with beautifully blended vocals and harmonies, accompanied by top notch instrumentation.

VaNova Duo on April 27
: Russian-Romani 7-string guitar virtuoso Vadim Kolpakov and American/Latina vocalist Brenda Nova perform a wide range of music from Flamenco to Gypsy to American and Jazz Standards. Take a journey of world music and experience a cultural immersion with their versatile repertoire.

Garvin Dean Project on May 4
: This 6-piece contemporary jazz ensemble formed in 1999 and has performed across the US from DC to LA with their lively, soulful style that blends traditional and modern jazz techniques.
